Sony's Newest Edition – the Playstation Phone

Portable consoles such as the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS are finding themselves being eclipsed by mobile gaming, since this provides users with a comfortable method of entertainment as they are on the move. With gadgets like the iPhone and the Android being readily available Sony has now stepped up to the plate with its own version to compete with what is already on the market. Sony Playstation reveals its new phone called the Xperia Play, which is anticipated to be a head turner in the mobile gaming market.
A Super Bowl advertisement substantiated rumours of the new Playstation Phone, which had been around for weeks. The Xperia Play, like many other phones, has a slide out keypad, with one noticeable difference – rather than a keyboard, there is a uniquely styled video game controller instead.
The new Xperia Play offers users a wide variety of gaming options, providing them with a Playstation Game Suite in addition to the Android Marketplace. This phone will be run on the current Android 2.3 system and in the UK, O2 has already stated that the phone will be offered by them to customers, as early as this month.
