Northern California's Largest Casino Dealer School opens

The Casino Dealer College, Northern California's largest Casino School, announced that they are opening a second location in San Francisco, California at 870 Market Street. The Casino Dealer College opened their first location in Sacramento California in September. "After opening our first location in Sacramento, we realized what a hot industry Casino Dealer education truly is, and opening another location in San Francisco was a no-brainer for us." commented Sharon Watts, Placement Director of the Sacramento Casino Dealer College going on to say "Casino dealing is currently a very fast growing job segment, not only here in California, and obviously Nevada, but also in many other areas across the United States". Casino Jobs typically offer flexible schedules, benefits and yearly salaries ranging from $35,000 to $70,000. The new school will offer courses in Poker (Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud and others), Pai Gow, Pai Gow Tiles, Baccarat, Blackjack and other popular casino games. Craps and Roulette dealing courses will be offered in the near future. "Poker dealing is definitely our most popular course right now, especially due to the tremendous popularity of Texas Hold'em on TV, the internet and Casinos worldwide" said Watts. This explains the large demand for experienced Casino Dealers, especially in states such as California which are seeing Native American Casinos pop up almost daily and also makes landing a job upon graduation a little easier, "We literally have Casino Managers calling us and coming through the doors weekly asking us for qualified job applicants. There is definitely a shortage of qualified, trained card dealers in the state of California right now" commented Watts. The California Department of Labor estimates that in 2004 more than 2600 Casino Dealing Jobs will be added statewide. The San Francisco Casino Dealer College location has put a heavy focus on providing instructors that are at least bilingual and sometimes trilingual. Languages spoken include Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog and Vietnamese. The Casino Dealer College is affiliated with the Bartending College which owns and operates Bartending Schools across the U.S. since 1980. Both the Casino College and the Bartending College are approved to operate by the State of California, that offer lifetime job placement assistance, payment plans, flexible class schedules and are members of the Better Business bureau.
